I woke up without a voice yesterday, and still don't have much of one today. Lucky you! That means tons of blog posts today! :-)
Who watched the Walking Dead last night? I have to record it this season since we upped the boys' bedtime to 9:00P.M. Considering most of the television I watched as a kid scares the crap out of them (Are You Afraid of the Dark?) I think the Walking Dead would keep them from sleeping for about a year. Nevertheless the husband and I did watch it after we got them laid down. Let me just go ahead and add that if you have never watched this show or read the graphic novels you are missing out! I'm not really an end of the world zombie fanatic, but this show is GOOD. Like, Mad Men good! I think I would be perfectly fine if the only television channel I had was AMC. They know what they are doing. But, like I said, if you haven't watched it...go do it...and if you don't want to BUY it then subscribe to Netflix. It's like $8 a month.
Okay, if you haven't watched it yet then stop reading NOW! Because I'm sure to spoil it...
I found it absolutely hilarious when the commercial for Talking Dead played during the show that had "#oneleggedhershel" across the bottom of the screen. Not that there is anything funny about a man with one leg, especially when he lost his leg to a "walker" bite, but admit it...you thought it was funny just now when you saw it typed out. Who else thought Lori was a goner when she gave Hershel CPR? I mean, I realize he's an important man with his medical experience (in all honestly, I'd probably trust a veterinarian in a time like that as opposed to a medical doctor...that's another post for another day) and that Lori thinks she NEEDS him to deliver her baby...still doesn't mean I could bring myself to perform CPR on a man who just quit breathing when everybody is infected with a virus that turns them to a "walker" after they die. And SHE was mad at Carl for going off to find the infirmary alone? About that "Mother of the Year" award...
On another note, my very dear friend Laura Johnson has forced me to watch World Without End on Reelz...fine, there was no forcing. She said something about it and I saw a commercial and set it up to record. I was actually watching it when I decided I should compose a new post. The first 30 minutes have been AMAZING so you should expect a more detailed post sometime later today. OR if you are just now getting home from work and reading THIS post, go back to my home page and see if there is another post for today.
For now, Fossykins OUT
Now I just need you to start watching Downton Abbey and my life will be complete!
ReplyDeleteYou should totally watch SOA...start watching that and then I will start watching this show...then we can discuss each :)
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I have seen SOA! I need to start over because Dish Network cut us off mid-season a few years back so I'm positive I'd be lost if I tried to pick up where I left off...besides, I've got to watch Downton Abbey, too ;-)
